Doughnuts
Preparation time:1 to 2 hours VEGETARIAN
Cook time: Less than 10 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
MILK
MIXTURE:
½ Cup milk
1 Teaspoon
butter
DOUGHNUTS:
5 teaspoon
yeast
1 cup milk
½ cup
mashed potato
2 cups
flour
½ teaspoon
salt
¼ cup sugar
2 table
spoon oil
GLACE
MIXTURE:
1 cup
powdered sugar (castor sugar)
2 table
spoon milk mixture (preparation give above)
¼ Teaspoon
lemon juice
¼ Teaspoon
vanilla extract
(MORE GLACE
MORE MILK MIXTURE)
CHOCOLATE
MIXTURE:
1 Cup
powdered sugar
2 Table
spoon Cocoa
3 Table
spoon milk mixture
PREPARATION
1.
Mix
warmed 1 cup milk, 5 teaspoon yeast and ¼ cup sugar. Leave this mix to ferment
for about 10 minutes.
2.
Make
a dough by adding flour, mashed potato, salt and oil to the fermented mixture.
3.
Leave
the dough to ferment about 2 hours.
4.
Roll
the dough and make into ¼ inch sheet.
5.
Now
take a big circle mouthed cup or lid and press on the sheet to get circle
shape. Take another small circled mouth lid of some container, keep in the
middle of the circle shaped dough and press so that you get the shape of
doughnut. Make as many doughnuts from this flattened dough.
6.
Leave
these raw doughnuts on wax paper, spray water and leave to ferment for another
two hours. Spray water as and when the doughnuts seem to be dry.
7.
Take
a bottom thick pan and deep fry the raw doughnuts.
8.
Place
the hot doughnuts in a plate and pour the glace mixture (or chocolate mixture
as required) on top of doughnuts and leave to cool.
