Hummus


Hummus

Hummus is a common food dip usually served in Middle Eastern and Arabic cuisines. It is served with Grilled Chicken. I love it a lot especially to eat it with Qubz (Arabic Bread).



Ingredients:
1cup cooked chickpeas
¼ cup liquid from cooked chickpeas
1 tablespoons lemon juice (depending on taste)
½  tablespoons tahini
1 cloves garlic, crushed
¼  teaspoon salt
1tablespoons olive oil for garnishing
Preparation:
1.     Drain the cooked chickpeas and set aside liquid.
2.     Combine remaining ingredients in blender or food processor.
3.     Add ¼ cup of liquid from chickpeas.
4.     Blend for 3-5 minutes on low until thoroughly mixed and smooth.
5.     Place in serving bowl, and create a shallow well in the centre of the hummus.
Pour some olive oil on top of the hummus
