Snow White Chicken
Preparation time:: 15 MINUTES NON VEGETARIAN
Cook time: 20 MINUTES
INGREDIENTS:
Chicken-500g
White onion
chopped -2cups
Ginger garlic
paste-1tsp
White
pepper powder-1tbsp
Cashew nut-50gms
Star anise-A
few
Desiccated coconut
-2tbsp
Lime juice-1tbsp
Salt to
taste.
Oil for
frying
For the
paste:
Saute,1 cup
white onion, cashew nuts and grind well. Add desiccated coconut and water to this and grind to a paste.
For the
marinade:
Chicken
Ginger garlic
paste-1tsp
Yogurt-2tbsp
White pepper
powder-1tbsp
Cornflour-2tbsp
Salt
Preparation:
Marinate
the chicken with the above ingredients for 20 minutes. In a deep pan heat oil
and fry the chicken for 3 minutes. Remove from fire.
In a pan
heat oil, sauté 1 cup onion for 3-4 mts, then add star anise, ground paste, ginger
garlic paste, salt white pepper powder sauté well. Add water and cook on a low
flame. Add the fried chicken pieces, lime juice and cook for 5 minutes. Snow
white chicken is ready to serve.
