Vancho Cake

Ingredients for Vanilla Cake: 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup of granulated sugar 1 cup butter 3 eggs Vanilla essence (optional) 1 tsp. baking powder Method: Sift together the flour, baking powder and keep it aside. Whisk butter and fined sugar till smooth. Then add eggs beating well after each addition. Add the flour mixture little by little.  Then add vanilla essence and combine. Preheat oven at 180  O C and then bake it for 25 min. Remove it from the oven and cool it to room temperature. Dust it with fine sugar on top and garnish it. Vanilla cake is ready and cut into two layers. Jackfruit cake

INGREDIENTS 2 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1 cup butter 4 eggs Vanilla essence (optional) 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda Cashew nuts (optional) For jackfruit paste: Jack fruit (grounded)- 2 1/2 cups Jaggery syrup -1 cup Cardamom powder-1/4 tsp          METHOD: In a deep bottom pan add grounded jack fruit. Stir it well for 3 minutes. Then add the jaggery syrup and stir well until it becomes thick consistency. Allow it to cool. Sift together flour, baking powder and keep it aside. 2. Whisk butter, fined sugar till smooth. Then add eggs          beating well after each addition. 3. Add flour mixture little by little.  Then add vanilla              essence and combine. 4. Spoon the batter into the prepared moulds, dividing          evenly. 5. Preheat oven at 180 OC and then bake it for 15 min. 6. Remove from oven and cool to room temperature 7. Dusting fine sugar on top of the cake.   

Black forest Cake

Black forest is a cake traditionally originating from Germany. It is basically chocolate cake sandwiched with whipped cream with cherry topping. A typical black forest cake is decorated with additional whipped cream on top with chocolate shavings and maraschino cherries (preserved cherries).  The actual recipe requires kirschwasser, which is basically a clear spirit from sour cherries .  I usually use rum with sugar syrup while making this cake. But you can avoid alcohol and use alternatives like orange juice. Cream of tartar – a pinch METHOD Take a deep bottom pan and add sugar and water. Boil it until it becomes thick in medium flame. While sugar syrup is cooking, separate eggs placing whites in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, and beat on low to medium speed until foamy. Add cream of tartar, and whip on medium to high speed until medium to stiff peaks form, but not dry. With mixer running, add cooked syrup to whites in a slow but steady stream, beating on high speed. Dorayaki Preparation time: 35 min Cook time:  10 min      NON VEGETARIAN Cuisine : Japanese INGREDIENTS: 2 eggs 100g flour ½ tsp. baking soda 50g granulated sugar 1 tbsp. honey 2 tsp. water Cooking oil For the filling: Azuki Red bean paste with skin.
