Chicken Puffs
Preparation time: 2hrs TYPE: non

INGREDIENTS:
All-purpose flour-2 ½ cups
Butter-200 g
Water
Salt to taste
Egg yolk-1(beaten)
For the filling:
Chicken minced-1 cup
Onion chopped-1/2 cup
Coriander powder-1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder-1/2 tsp
Pepper powder-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Lime juice-1/2 tsp
Garam masala-1/4 tsp
Coriander leaves chopped-1tbsp
Salt to taste
Preparation:
Heat oil in a pan add onion, minced chicken and all
the above masalas. Sauté well. When chicken is cooked add garammasala, lime
juice and coriander leaves. Remove from fire and allow to cool. Meanwhile in a
bowl mix flour, salt and water to make smooth dough and refrigerate until firm
(about 20 minutes).
On a
lightly floured surface, roll out the dough (rectangular) 1/2 inch thick. Place
the chilled butter in the center and fold the two ends over it. Fold into
thirds. This is the first ''turn''. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at
least 30 minutes. Repeat this rolling and folding three more times .Wrap and
refrigerate. The dough is ready to use for puffs.
Flatten
the dough and cut into desired pieces. Place the mixture and fold it. Brush it
with beaten egg yolk and bake it in a preheated oven(180 degree) for 10
minutes. Chicken puffs is ready.
