German Black Forest Cake

For the Butter cake
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup butter
3 eggs
Vanilla essence (optional)
1 ½ tsp. baking powder
PREPARATION
1. Sift
together flour, baking powder and keep it aside.
2. Whisk
butter, fined sugar till smooth. Then add eggs beating well after each
addition.
3. Add
flour mixture little by little. Then add
vanilla essence and combine.
4. Preheat
oven at 120 degree c and then bake it for 30 min.
5. Remove
from oven and cool to room temperature
For the Chocolate Cake:
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1tsp baking powder
2 tbsp. dark cocoa powder
½ cup milk
2 tsp. Vinegar / Lime juice
1 tsp. vanilla essence
For sugar syrup
½ cup water
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. brandy
2cup meringue icing
1 cup Choco ganache icing (spreadable consistency)
4 cups chocolate mousse
For the cherry syrup:
½ cup morello cherries
1tbsp sugar
¼ tsp vanilla essence
¼ cup water
Heat in a pan add water, sugar, cherries , vanilla
essence and make a syrup to a thick consistency.
PREPARATION OF CHOCOLATE CAKE:
1. Sift
together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and keep it aside.
2. Whisk
oil, fined sugar till smooth. Then add eggs beating well after each addition.
3. Add
flour mixture little by little. Add vinegar and mix well. Then add milk,
vanilla essence and combine.
4. Preheat
oven at 140 degree and then bake it for 20 mts. Remove from oven and cool to
room temperature.
5. Cut the
cakes into six layers. Spray the sugar syrup in each layer. Spread meringue
icing, cherry syrup and chocolate mousse in between the layers.
6. Pour
ganache icing on top.
7. Garnish
with cherries and scraped chocolates.
8. German black forest cake is ready to serve.
